CPR and Defibrillator training

Thursday 30th November 2023, 7 – 9 pm

Whitbourne Village Hall

Course will include –

  • How to call for help in an emergency
  • How to help an unconscious casualty – the recovery position
  • How to recognise a suspected heart attack
  • How to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
  • The role of the defibrillator (AED)
  • What to do if someone is choking
  • How to deal with severe bleeding

The course is sponsored by Whitbourne Parish Council, run by Herefordshire HeartStart, and is free of charge to participants.

Bereavement Service

A free and confidential service run by Victim Support for anyone who has been bereaved by suicide, supporting anyone from age 4+ (relevant DBS checks are in place), going beyond family members to include friends, colleagues and so on – it does not matter when they were bereaved, it could have been yesterday or 10 years ago. The support is tailored to an individual’s needs and works closely with a number of other charities and organisations in Herefordshire.

The Garden Society Quiz

The last meeting of the year for the Garden Society as they host their own quiz which will include varying questions including some general knowledge and some gardening questions. Bring along your own beer/wine if you wish. A snack will be supplied for you.

The Live & Let Live pub quiz

The Live & Let Live pub quiz season starts again 2nd Sunday of every month from this Sunday 10th September at 7pm.  So take the family to enjoy the village Treasure Hunt in the afternoon and then chill out having a few drinks with friends at the quiz in the evening. £2 per person to take part. Winning team prize and the opportunity for all teams to win the Jackpot too. Rolls over to the following week if not won.

Whitbourne playing fields needs you! – Saturday 26th August from 9am til 1pm

We’re running a Working Party on the playing fields on 26th August from 9am til 1pm to clean and paint the equipment. If you have time to assist us we’d love to see you there. 

Please bring rubber gloves, a bucket, scrubbing brushes and wear old clothes.
